I just installed the Barnacle app on my Samsung SCH-R720 phone and I am now able to Tether on my MetroPCS phone. My phone is rooted and I did change a setting to allow tethering. You can visit my other blog post to see how to root your Samsung phone --> How to Root Samsung SCH-R720 & Thether
