Metro PCS Samsung Admire --> How to Tether

First  you need to Root your phone. To do this, you need to connect your phone to your PC,

 Download and install Samsung Drivers.
Enable USB Debugging on the Samsung Admire.  To do this, head to Settings -> Applications -> Development and check the box next to Enable USB Debugging.

  Rooting the Device

1.  Download the One-Click Root zip file.
2.  Connect your device and make sure USB Debugging is enabled once more.
3.  Extract the downloaded zip file to folder on your desktop.
4.  Navigate to the unzipped folder and double-click run.bat.
5.  Once the process is complete, reboot the device.
Your phone will reboot when it finishes installing.

Next you will need these 3 Aps to make it work.

Go to your  Google Playstore, down load  these  Aps.
  1. Superuser
  2. Wireless Tether
  3. ROM Toolbox lite.

After Downloading.

Enjoy $-) -->  Tethering metropcs phone to pc for internet

Update  6/2012 --> MetroPCS blocked Tethering

Have  you got this warning while trying to tether?
"Per the Terms and Conditions of Service, Tethering / Mobile Hotspot is not currently supported. Please visit www.metropcs.com/terms for terms and conditions of service."

Bullshit. It is supported, but they don't like it. Because I am taking all the bandwidth.

After about 1 month of unlimited internet from Metro PCS. They caught on to it and blocked it.
But like everything else. there is a work around. I am back up and running on my Samsung SCH-R720, Teathering with unlimited internet.

How to --> USB/Hotspot Tether your MetroPCS Android Phone(s) to tether again.

How to --> Bypass Tethering Metropcs

This is how i did it, using PdaNet App of the Google Play store

To use USB Tether, you need to install the PdaNet Desktop client on the computer from http://pdanet.co/android. You can also follow steps below to download the installer using your phone:
On the phone side make sure PdaNet has been installed from Android Market first, then
1.Tap to download installer for 32-bit Windows, 64-bit Windows or Mac OS. This file will be saved to the phone's SD card.
2.Connect your phone to the computer.
3.Mount the SD card as a USB drive on the computer. (On phone select "USB connected" from Notifications, or look for Mass Storage/Disk Mode under SD Card or USB settings.)
4.Run the PdaNet installer under the "download" directory of the USB drive.

Now that I have internet. I don't want to get shut down again. I need to desciase my PC to look like a phone.

I am going to use FireFox and a User Agent add on.
First, got to http://whatsmyuseragent.com/ on your phone and copy your user agent ID

For example my user agent is.

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; SCH-R720 Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1

Then do the following.

Once installed and restarted Firefox, simply go to Tools -> User Agent Switcher, and you will see a list of user agents which you can choose. By default there is only 3 user agents listed, namely Internet Explorer 6, Netscape and Opera. To add more, simply follow this steps:

Go to Tools -> User Agent Switcher -> Options.
Then click on User Agents and then click on Add.
Key in the necessary information for your custom user agent. For example, for MegaUpload toolbar user agent, try the following configuration:

Up-date 10/1/12

It has been at least 6 months and I still have unlimited internet on my PC using my Samsung 747 smart phine as a hotspot.

However every time I use the internet. I use the Firefox user-agent and to make my PC to look my phone.
Metropcs has yet caught on...

Good Luck and Enjoy $-)

Up Date 1/03/2013
Everything is still working. I use my phone as a hotspot almost every day. Connecting my PC to my phone, enjoying the internet.

The New Google Search

.
Google's next generation of search, called Knowledge Graph, has been anticipated within high-tech circles for months. The search options, which will be rolled out this week, are somewhat similar to Facebook's Timeline feature.
The search giant is pushing out the new Wikipedia-like features  it released a redesigned Google+ app for iPhone last week  ahead of Facebook's IPO, which is expected to raise as much as $18.4 billion and could value the social-networking giant above a staggering $100 billion.
Microsoft as well is doing a social makeover to its Bing search engine and has begun previews of some of the features.
"Search engines are presenting more and more structured data in search results," say Greg Sterling, a tech analyst familiar with Google's product.
These features raise concerns about cluttering the spartan layout of Google, he says. "There's a question about clutter on the page. Does the layout become too bloated? How does this translate into mobile, where it might be most effective?"
Google's revamped search lets consumers sift through similar results with rich, visual results, according to Jack Menzel, director of product management for Knowledge Graph, who demonstrated the product.
The results troll a database of 500 million "people, places and things," says Menzel. "How do we reconcile messy data from all over the Internet? This is a map of information about people."
For example, a search for "Kings" results in a box on the right-side of the screen with brief summaries of the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, Sacramento Kings basketball squad and the "Kings" TV series on NBC. Clicking on each of the results yields even deeper data, including official sites and schedules.
Another new wrinkle: Results for master architect Frank Lloyd Wright yield a summary bio box with his birth date, education, family and renowned projects (with pictures).
Search results for popular bands show up in the form of tour dates, discography and similar music.
The more intuitive search results are consistent with Google's efforts to deliver on user demands for "answers, not links," says Sterling.

Real Life Transformer Car Robot

Capture
In the future, we will have robotic cars that do the driving as we do the texting and human-like robots that do everything from take care of grandparentsto service sexual desires

For now, we have a toy-sized transforming robot car that shape shifts from street racer to humanoid with silky ease. And for anyone who played with a toy that didn't quite do this as advertised, the future is now.
The Japanese robot was made by Kenji Ishida and JS Robotics. It has 22 servo motors that help make the transition from car to robot and back, and enable some serious boogieing on the dance floor (or table top).
This is said to be version 8 of the robot, with version 9 coming soon. Stay tuned.

Hector The Creepy Crawly Spider Robot | Invention Reaction

Hector The Creepy Crawly Spider Robot | Invention Reaction
Everyone loves robots. Not everyone loves spiders. This might leave you uncertain over this product, which comes courtesy of the University of Bielefeld's Department of Biological Cybernetics. Named HECTOR, (obviously an acronym for HExapod Cognitive auTonmously Operating Robot), this spider-like robot measures in at approximately one meter in length and is 12 kilograms in weight. 13 percent of this weight belongs to the exoskeleton, with joints on its legs allowing the robot to move somewhat creepily like a spider.

I'm not sure why the University chose to base the robot on an arachnid that tends to creep out the majority of society. Maybe exactly that, to creep people out. Spiders, personally, make my skin crawl, and if I were to develop a robot, basing it on a spider wouldn't even enter my thoughts! Having said that, any robot always manages to impress me - mostly due to the fact that I remember seeing various ideas for robots when I was younger on TV and always wondered if they would ever become a reality (showing my age here!). With this spider robot I'm not entirely sure what its main purpose is. It's certainly too conspicuous to be used as a spy gadget. Perhaps if it were reduced to the size of a real spider, that would do the trick, though it would probably be trapped under a glass or stamped on within minutes.

What next, a robot bird that flies through the air before crashing into something and exploding or a robot fish that can swim through the ocean, only to be swallowed by a giant shark? What uses could you see for this mechanical creepy crawly and what other silly robot ideas can you come up with? Let us know in the comments!
