Skype has just released an updated version of its iPhone app that is officially compatible with the Apple iPad.
While the Skype app hasn't yet been optimized for the iPad's massive display, users will still be able to chat with contacts and make VoIP calls to other Skype users.
Skype for iPhone OS also supports SkypeOut calling, which allows user to place calls to cell phones and landlines around the world.
The Apple iPad includes a built-in speaker and microphone, and users can also pair a Bluetooth headset with the iPad to provide a better means for VoIP calling.
